Please note the following important dates:
• Business Christmas Closure:
From Wednesday 24th December 2025 to Tuesday 6th January 2026, our entire business will be closed for the holiday period
• Workshop Extended Closure:
From Wednesday 24th December 2025 to Tuesday 3rd February 2026, our workshop will remain closed for extended holiday and reorganisation.
During the workshop’s extended closure, we will remain open for:
• Sales of sewing machines – Industrial & Domestic
• Warranty work on all machines purchased from us
• Industrial sewing machine service and repair call-outs at customers’ premises
From Tuesday 6th January 2026, we will be changing our opening hours to:
TUESDAY'S, WEDNESDAY'S & THURSDAY'S – 09:30 to 16:30

IMPORTANT CUSTOMER ACCOUNCEMENT
REGARDING
DOMESTIC SEWING MACHINE SERVICING
It is with regret that as of March 1 2025, we will only be servicing and supporting the brands that we are authorized stockists for and who have support services here in the UK. These are:
Bernina, Bernette, Brother (Jones), Elna,
Janome (New Home), and Juki.
This decision has been made due to the growing difficulty in sourcing the necessary parts to repair and maintain other brands. Sourcing parts for brands that no longer have UK support centres is making it uneconomical for us to continue to offer the service. However, we will continue to take these brands in part exchange against new machines purchased from our stocked ranges.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but we remain committed to providing the best possible service and support for the brands we continue to supply.

The heart of our business has always been sewing machines. We will be continuing to offer on site servicing in our workshop for domestic machines as above and off-site servicing for all industrial machines. Our workshop remains at the rear of our premises on Totteridge Road.
We no longer offer the sale of fabric and haberdashery, but we still have a lot to offer as listed below.

Domestic Sewing Machines
We are domestic Sewing Machine main agents for Bernina, Brother, Janome and Juki
Every Service or Repair completed by Home Counties Sewing Machines comes with a 3 month parts and labour warranty against the work carried out.
We hold a huge range of parts and accessories in stock and can order anything required providing it is still available.
No need to pre-book your machine in for a service. Just come along to our workshop between 09:30 to 16:30 Tuesday to Friday and we will book your machine in.
A £30 deposit is required when you bring the machine in which is non refundable, but will be deducted from the total bill for servicing/repair work if carried out by us. It is difficult to advise on the cost of repairs before seeing the machine but we will offer an estimate for the cost of repair once it has been into the workshop. Please note we do not fit customer supplied parts we use only genuine parts supplied by us.
Current, turn round time between dropping your machine off and completion is approximately 20 working days. There may be a change to this turn round time depending on any parts needed from manufacturers.
We also offer a range of second hand machines. the stock is changing all the time so please contact us to find out what we have on offer at the moment.

Servicing and repair is available to most makes of industrial sewing machines. We can offer both on and off site servicing.
